Allison Whitworth joined the IMPACT FC soccer program as our Technical Director, she is also the Volunteer Assistant Soccer Coach for the Bulldogs soccer program. After serving as head women’s soccer coach at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, since 2016. She moved into the senior woman administrator role in December 2017.
The Birmingham, Alabama, native had an impressive athletic and academic career at Auburn University before becoming the first Tiger drafted into a professional league.
Whitworth set the Tigers’ career record with 356 saves, which still ranks second in school history. Her 132 saves in her senior season led the SEC and still stands as Auburn’s single-season record. She collected 22 career shutouts, which is second in school history, including eight in each of her final two seasons on the way to All-SEC selections as a junior (Second Team) and senior (First Team).
Whitworth’s professional career included three seasons in the Women’s Professional Soccer League. She was drafted in 2009 by FC Gold Pride as the 54th overall pick before playing with both the Atlanta Beat and Chicago Red Stars.
Whitworth works with the Region III ODP as Assistant Director of Goalkeeping as well as a staff and goalkeeper coach. She is the director and co-founder for Top Bar Keeper Camps.
