Coaches and Volunteers (Coaches Needed for 2016-17!)
Even if you have never coached before, you can coach a recreational soccer team. The main focus is bringing fun and smiles to your players' faces. Please contact Doug Heflin, email@example.com, to sign up!
All coaches must complete basic training as required by Mississippi Soccer Association. More information can be found at: http://www.mississippisoccer.org/Top_Nav/Coaches/coachcourses.htm. These sessions are typically offered by SSA throughout the season at no cost.
Coaches will be under the supervision of Phil Rose, the SSA Director of Coaching. Coaches will be provided weekly practice plans by SSA to help guide each practice. Practice Plans will be posted on the SSA Recreational Soccer page. The Director of Coaching will help facilitate sessions at times to help new coaches. Coaches should select a team parent that will help with the coordination and communication of team activities. Team parents will have a training session from the SSA Team Parent to understand how to help with team management.
Volunteers may contact SSA at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Questions or Concerns
In an effort to respond to our SSA members' questions or concerns more efficiently. We at SSA would ask you to please contact the SSA Executive Board members below if you have questions or concerns regarding recreational soccer, challenge soccer, and select soccer as primary contacts instead of the SSA Director of Coaching. The SSA Director of Coaching's primary responsibilities are player development and coaching education for recreational, challenge, and select soccer.
